Contrary to HAFLINGER clogs and house slippers, these wonderfully warm and inclusive sock-like hybrids are made almost entirely of boiled wool. The yarn is knit before it is felted, giving it a very special and unique structure. Boiled wool is much softer and flexible, but equally breathable and insulating. CARE INSTRUCTIONS Use a soft brush to remove any dirt or debris that has accumulated. For heavier dirt build up, spot with a damp cloth and brush gently. We do not recommend that you apply chemicals or soaps to the wool felt-this could compromise the natural breathability and strength of the felt. |

This is my second pair of Halflingers, the first pair having expired before their time because the puppy chewed them. I wear these mostly as an indoor-outdoor slipper. I keep them by the front door so I can slip them on to take the dog out or get the mail. But, they also come in handy to keep the feet warm inside on a chilly day or when you’re on your standing in the kitchen for hours. It’s great to have a non-slip sole and excellent arch support to prevent fatigue. Also, because they’re completely made of wool, my usually-sweaty feet stay dry and cozy without socks and they never smell bad. I like this particuar style because it’s a bit more modern and has a great tread pattern. I hope they keep making this style!

These were recommended by my Physical Therapist for plantar fasciitis plus I am recovering from a fractured fibula. These are house shoes which is better than slippers or going barefoot. I love these. They are so comfortable. The footbed feels like a Birkenstock. They are a bit expensive but if you value your feet, and don’t usually wear outside shoes in your house, these are perfect.
