On September 6, I ordered Bure Bure womens wool alpaca slippers in size 8 1/2. They finally arrived on September 23 from Lithuania. When I tried them on they were too small. I logged on to my Amazon account on October 1 to request a refund and read a statement that the seller would email me with instructions IF they approved the refund.By October 14, there was no response from Bure Bure and now Amazon states the time to return them has expired!Buyer beware.

First pair of slippers were too large for me. I contacted the seller and Inga promptly offered to make a new pair. She requested my foot measurements. I returned the original pair to a U.S. address – which was helpful since they are made in Europe. The new pair arrived and they fit perfectly. These slippers are absolutely beautiful and incredibly well made. The integrity of the wool design is strong and the rubber sole molds nicely to the bottom (I was afraid it might be bulky rubber but it isn’t). The only downside is that they run large. I’m between a size 8 1/2 – 9, I ordered a size 8 1/2 but I had about an inch of wiggle space. If you’re planning on wearing socks with these it would work, but I want to wear them barefoot. Fortunately my friend, who is normally a size 9 1/2 – 10, liked them and they fit her perfectly so she’s taking them and I’ve ordered a size 7 1/2 for myself. It’s well worth the month wait for shipping. I highly recommend these slippers, I just advise to size down.

These slippers are true felted wool. They keep your feet nice and warm. But they are very plain in style. I would have liked some decorative touch – perhaps a bow or felt cat or other animal.

I’m one of those people who is continually cold and wool is my go-to fiber. This vendor knows her craft and has obviously mastered the art and techniques of making these wonderful slippers. I ordered my usual size knowing I will usually wear heavy wool socks and after reading the reviews mentioning their roominess. They are just fine whether worn with or without socks and padding around the house. The leather soles provide the perfect amount of traction on hardwood floors. I like these better than the geissweins I managed to wear out.

These are house shoes, sounds so British. Unless you want to ruin them ,in house only. I sized down a half size as suggested and glad I did, fit is perfect but you would never call them beautiful . Would buy again.
